The First Baptist Church in Hutchinson, Kansas, was founded in 1872. Since that time, she has sought to teach and live the Bible faithfully. Believing the Bible’s mandate to “make disciples,” she has planted three churches in Hutchinson over her history. We are affiliated with the American Baptist Churches in the USA and with the Central Region (Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas) of that denomination.

First Baptist Church is biblical in doctrine, striving to live and teach what the Church has always believed based upon the Scriptures. We run about 115 or more in worship. We have an elegant sanctuary. Worship includes the singing of hymns and choruses. We give generously to the foreign and US mission offerings of our denomination. We also sponsor a clothing give-away, and send supplies in shoe boxes through agencies that help needy children abroad in the name of Christ at Christmas.

First Baptist Church has excellent educational facilities for a Sunday School that roughly runs 85 people. We have classes for all ages, including a nursery. We also have a gymnasium that doubles as our fellowship hall. We have active youth and AWANA programs. Please see the Our Ministries Page for more information.
